In an attempt to make the weeks pass a bit faster, I decided to completely redo the nursery. I know... I had the nursery somewhat ready, but it was stuff I had bought years ago, at the beginning of this journey. So much has happened in the nearly four years since we started this journey that the original theme just didn't really seem to be the right room anymore. And now that we know she will be a girl, there just wasn't enough pink and a total lack of red, so it had to be done. So, we have changed from Peter Rabbit to what else... LADYBUGS!!!!!!!! Shortly after referral, I found the cutest ladybug bedding that is pink and green, which matches the rug, so it worked out well. And it worked well with the adorable ladybug bean bag Tracy got for Hana. Brian was a very good sport and indulged me on this. Not only did he not commit me for starting over again, he even agreed to cut out the flowers and ladybugs for the wall. My good friend Grace helped me paint the first four lady bugs and flowers, but once they were mounted, we knew the wall still needed something more. So, back to the garage Brian went to cut one more ladybug and two more flowers. Jess was also here, and she envisioned some stems for the flowers, so Brian found a dowel that made beautiful stems. Once we had those, we decided that we needed yet another flower and leaves for the stem. So, poor Brian had to return the garage once again. I think when I asked him the last time if he loved me in an attempt to butter him up, he even said "No". Of course he quickly told me he was kidding and he loved me very much, and asked me how many more flowers I needed. We spent Saturday afternoon painting and Sunday afternoon mounting flowers, stems, and bugs, but it was time well spent. The finishing touch was the Ladybug Picture we received from my friend Nicki, titled "Traffic Jam", which, she bought at Arts in the Park before I changed the theme. So, it was clearly meant to be. Below are the pictures of the finished product, which was put together with so much love from so many people.

We're Going to China!
We received confirmation of our consulate appointment today, so we were finally able to book our flights! We will leave Richmond on Aug. 5, which is only two weeks from today! It will actually be Thursday when we arrive in Beijing, where we will hang out and sight see on Friday and Saturday. We leave for Guangzhou on Sunday, and Gotcha Day is Monday! We are so excited... and a little panicked since I have a lot of little things to get done before I go. A little ironic really, considering I had 3+ years to prepare. :)
We are almost there!!!!!!!!

TA has Arrived
Great Wall called today to let us know that our TA has arrived, and they said that we will probably arrive in Beijing on August 7th, and once they confirm our consulate appointment, all that is left to do is book our flights. That is a week earlier than they had originally anticipated, and it's only 2 and a half weeks away! In three weeks from today... we will have Hana! We are so excited. If I didn't have so much to do, I don't know how I would survive the next few weeks!
